When measuring the heart rate via handles during your training, a deviating value often arises. This has to do with the fact that a heart rate measurement via the hands is different from a heart rate belt because the distance to your heart is further away.
In addition, the following factors influence the heart rate registration:
- Analog recording
- Position of the hands
- Humidity of the hands
- The measurement is affected by movement
- The intensity with which the handles are held
The handles are only intended for an indication of the heart rate before and after a workout. In addition, they provide a correct and correct measurement during the heart rate recovery.
We would like to point out that there is nothing wrong with the quality of your device, but that your observation is inherent in the heart rate measurement system.
Because our displays are equipped with an ECG accurate Polar receiver, we always recommend wearing a heart rate belt during heart rate controlled training. This measurement is very accurate and reliable. In this way you can continue your training responsibly.
